The pandemic, and its subsequent lockdowns, has completely changed the way business is conducted. People are maxing out messaging apps/social media/e-commerce sites to buy everything they’d normally get from physical stores. Almost every single supplier across all industries has made the mythical online “pivot” to survive: Media (the avalanche of vlogs made my head spin), food (my neighbour makes THE BEST beignets which people could order via Facebook Messenger), clothing (I hoarded fitness shirts, ok? #guilty), beauty (sunblock galore!), gaming (yay for finally getting a Nintendo Switch!), and most importantly (for me at least)… booze.
One group getting in on the Viber community bandwagon is one of my favorite places to score good drinks, The Booze Shop. They’ve got everything from wine for a “stay home date night” (get the Estampa Carmenere, it’s deelish), awesome whiskies to add to your ever-growing collection, gin for a proper at-home gin bar (with tonic water to match!), soju for you kdrama marathon, tequila for getting your sister drunk at home (#truestory), and my personal reco: an amazing selection of imported beer perfect for your pulutan at home. I don’t think one can ever go wrong with their selection of Belgian and German beers… I like having a stash of Paulaner Munchner Hell in our house.
